A Shared Mission to Build a Better Future
Gisele and Steven didn’t just start a company—they set out to solve a problem that affects millions of people. Valleyhaus is the result of countless conversations, shared values, and a deep desire to make housing more accessible for everyone.
Gisele’s journey began in Brazil, where she grew up witnessing the challenges of poverty, corruption, and income disparity. She worked in education, dedicating herself to helping underprivileged families. But she dreamed of a better life, one where she could make an even bigger impact. That dream brought her to Canada, where she quickly realized that while the challenges were different, the struggle was just as real. The cost of living was soaring, and for many families, homeownership was slipping further out of reach.
Steven had spent years in industrial automation, working on ways to make manufacturing more efficient. But his passion for homebuilding started long before that, when he worked construction jobs as a teenager. Over time, he grew frustrated seeing how little the industry had changed—houses were still being built the same way they had been for decades, with high costs and long timelines making homeownership unattainable for many.
When Gisele and Steven met in Canada, their conversations naturally turned to the issues they had both been thinking about for years. They talked about the corruption and wealth inequality in Brazil, but also about the housing crisis and rising cost of living in Ontario. They spent months discussing how broken systems—whether in Brazil or Canada—left ordinary people struggling to afford basic necessities. They knew that if things were going to change, someone had to do something different.
That’s when Valleyhaus was born.
They turned to Steven’s father, a builder with decades of experience in home construction. His insights helped them understand not just the challenges of the industry, but also what was possible. They spoke with material suppliers, land developers, and industry experts, gathering knowledge and building relationships. With every conversation, their vision became clearer: the solution wasn’t just about building houses—it was about rethinking the entire process.
Over the years, they worked tirelessly to design a better way to build homes. They developed a factory-based system that uses automation to lower costs, reduce waste, and dramatically speed up construction. The goal wasn’t just to build houses—it was to make homeownership possible for families who thought they would never be able to afford it.
Today, Valleyhaus is more than a company—it’s a mission. A mission to create homes that are beautiful, sustainable, and within reach for the people who need them most. Gisele and Steven believe that housing should not be a luxury, and they are committed to proving that with the right approach, change is possible.
This is just the beginning.
